Can I install the HRI 280W in any 280W moving head?
No. While the wattage is standard, the electronic driver and mechanical mounting must be compatible with Osram Sirius specifications. You must verify the exact model; there is a similar version called the HRI 280W RO, which is designed exclusively for specific models such as the Robe Pointe and ACME XP-280.
Why is high-density smoke fluid recommended with the Sirius HRI 280W?
The Sirius HRI 280W generates an 11,500-lumen flux concentrated into an extremely narrow beam. Without airborne particles, the light remains invisible until it hits a surface. Using high-density fluid creates a uniform "matter" in the air, allowing you to clearly trace the sharp light cuts and solid beams typical of major live events without losing the brilliance of the 7800 K output.
